Ladakh is a stunning region in northern India, known for its breathtaking landscapes, high-altitude deserts, and vibrant cultures. The Turtuk excursion is a special highlight for those exploring Ladakh, offering a unique experience in a less-visited part of this captivating region.
Arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula Airport – renowned as one of the most breathtaking flights globally. On a clear day, view the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, and Gasherbrum from one side of the aircraft, and the Nun Kun massif from the other side. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a TIH representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the day resting and acclimatizing to the high altitude. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, embark on a tour of the Sham Valley, beginning with a visit to the Hall of Fame, a museum constructed by the Indian Army and a must-see for every Indian. Next, head to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, situated at an altitude of 3,600 meters and approximately 22 kilometers from Leh. This gurudwara is dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev Ji and is nestled deep in the Himalayas. Continue your journey to Magnetic Hill, where gravity seems to defy the natural laws. Proceed further to the Sangam, the confluence of the Indus River (flowing from Tibet) and the Zanskar River (originating from Zanskar Valley), renowned for its Chadar Trek. Visit the Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa, perched atop a hill, for breathtaking panoramic views of Leh city and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
