Darjeeling, nestled in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, is a charming hill station renowned for its scenic beauty, tea gardens, and cultural diversity. Located in the Indian state of West Bengal, Darjeeling’s cool climate, panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, and lush greenery make it a popular destination for both domestic and international travelers.

One of Darjeeling’s most famous attractions is its tea industry. The region produces some of the finest and most sought-after teas in the world, known as Darjeeling tea. Visitors can tour tea estates, witness the tea-making process, and sample various blends while soaking in the serene surroundings of terraced tea gardens.

Day 1

Bagdogra – Gangtok

Arrive at Bagdogra airport. Report to coach and proceed to Gangtok. It is the capital and largest town of Sikkim state. Gangtok means ‘Top of Hills’ as the city is located right in the middle of Himalayan range at an elevation of about 1700 mt. It is known for its scenic beauty and striking views of Mount Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world.

Day 2

Gangtok

Explore Gangtok by taking a city tour that includes Rumtek Monastery, Shanti view point, Nalanda Institute and Golden Stupa. Visit Do-drul Chorten Stupa and Tibetology. Take a rope way ride to have a panaromic view of the city. Visit flower exhibition Center to explore not only orchids but a plethora of flower varieties. Later visit Hanuman tok and Ganesh Mandir followed by shopping on the mall road.

Day 3

Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake – Gangtok (40 kms)

Today will take a day trip to Tsomgo lake also called as Changu lake (Subject to Military Permissions). The name Tsomgo means “source of Water”. This is one of the few and awesome high altitude lakes in India situated at an altitude of 12300 ft. Changing seasons bring new colors to the lake waters, from sapphire blue in spring time to a dark inky green as winter approaches. We further proceed to visit the temple of Baba Harbhajan Singh, a ‘Hero of Nathula’ who died in 1968 while on duty.

Day 4

Gangtok – Namchi - Darjeeling

Today make a move to Darjeeling. En-route visit Chardham temple - the temple which has a replica of all Chardham Temples and the most incredible part is 87 ft statue of Lord Shiva at Namchi. Later in the evening arrive at Darjeeling.

Day 5

Darjeeling

Early morning visit Tiger Hill to enjoy sunrise on the Kanchanjunga Ranges followed by Batasia loop – created in 1919 as an engineering requirement for the toy train to be able to handle a steep gradient. Later visit the Peace Pagoda and Japanese Temple. Later Proceed to visit One of the highest tea garden location in Darjeeling ‘’Happy Valley Tea Estate’’. Happy Valley Tea Estate is the oldest tea estate of Darjeeling. Spread over 437 acres of land.

Day 6

Darjeeling

Visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI - Subject to operation). Enjoy the Mountaineering Documentary Show. HMI has an international reputation and has trained thousands of people from across the globe in mountaineering. Take a stop by Zoological Park, Tensingh Rock. Evening Free time for shopping.

Day 7

Darjeeling – Departure from Bagdogra

Proceed to Bagdogra. Board the flight to your hometown. Tour Concludes.
