Itinerary Overview:

  1. Kashmir (Srinagar and Surroundings):
    • Srinagar: Start in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Stay in a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake and explore Mughal gardens like Shalimar Bagh and Nishant Bagh. Enjoy a shikara ride on Dal Lake, and during the tulip season, visit the Tulip Garden for a vibrant display of blooms.
    • Gulmarg: Journey to Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers,” and take the Gulmarg Gondola for panoramic views of the Himalayas. Depending on the season, enjoy snow activities or scenic walks.
    • Pahalgam: Head to Pahalgam, famous for its picturesque valleys such as Aru Valley and Betaab Valley. Enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or simply soaking in the stunning landscapes.

Day 1 Arrival in Srinagar

On arrival at Srinagar, you will be met, assisted, and transferred to a houseboat located on Dal Lake. Enjoy an early evening Shikara ride on the lake, offering a pleasant experience amidst the world’s most beautiful mountains with scenic beauty surrounding the water. Overnight stay in the Srinagar houseboat.

Day 2 Gulmarg Excursion (One way 50 kms / approx 2 hrs)

Post breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Gulmarg, renowned as the most beautiful hill station in Kashmir. In summer, it's famous for its leisure golf course, the highest in the world, and in winter, it's a hotspot for adventure skiing, where one can revel in the natural splendor and adventure. Experience the Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. Return to Srinagar in the evening and stay overnight in the Srinagar houseboat.

Day 3 Srinagar -– Sonamarg

Drive to Sonamarg, known as the Meadow of Gold, departing from Srinagar according to road opening timings. This scenic drive takes you through the stunning countryside of Kashmir, navigating the Sindh Valley. The Sindhu Valley is the largest tributary of the Kashmir Valley, offering breathtaking views of the lush landscapes and dramatic mountains along the way.

Day 4 Sonamarg - Kargil .Drive to Kargil the road passes through the panoramic village reach Sonamarg (2740 Mtrs).

Drive from Sonamarg involves traversing mostly rough and wet roads towards the Zojila Pass (3527 meters), the gateway to Ladakh. Continue your journey to Drass, the second coldest inhabited place in the world. Another two and a half hours' drive will bring you to Kargil (2710 meters), which gained significance after Ladakh was opened to tourists in 1974. Day 5 Kargil – Lamayuru – Leh (220 Kms 08 Hrs drive)

After an early breakfast, depart from Kargil and visit the Mulbekh and Lamayuru monasteries en route. Continue through the Namkila and Fatula Passes, the highest pass on the Srinagar-Leh road, towards Leh. Along the way, visit the 1000-year-old Alchi Monastery, the only Gompa in the Ladakh region situated on flat ground. Proceed to the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers (Sangam), and drive along the Indus River, stopping at Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and Magnetic Hill, where cars appear to defy gravity. Finish the day with a visit to Leh Hall of Fame, which houses a museum of Kargil War memorabilia. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6 Tour to Thiksey Monastery, Shanti Stupa & Leh Market.

After a leisurely breakfast, drive to visit Thiksey Monastery, perched on a hill with stunning views of the Indus Valley. Thiksey is renowned for its massive seated statue of the Maitreya Buddha and its assembly hall (Dukhang), which contains hundreds of rectangular prayer books bound in silk. Following your visit to Thiksey, return to Leh, passing a series of chortens, to explore Shey Palace, the former summer residence of the King of Ladakh. Next, visit Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed stupa located on a hilltop in Changspa, built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu Gyomyo Nakamura as part of the Peace Pagoda mission. Continue to Leh Palace, a historic royal palace overlooking Leh, constructed around 1600 by Sengge Namgyal. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 7 Leh to Nubra via Khardungla Pass –18,380Ft/5550 Mtrs. (125 Kms /0 5-0 6 hrs)

In the morning, drive to Nubra Valley, traversing the world’s highest motorable pass, Khardungla Pass, at an altitude of 5550 meters. Stop at the pass to admire the breathtaking views and take photographs. The valley, located at the confluence of the Shayok and Nubra rivers, was an ancient caravan route. On the way, visit the charming Deskit Valley, the tiny capital of Nubra. Explore Deskit Gompa, perched on a rocky spur with stunning views of the valley, and see the impressive 106-feet high statue of Maitreya Buddha atop the hill. The monastery features intriguing images of various deities. Continue to Hunder, where you can see sand dunes and interact with the famous Bactrian camels, double-humped animals once used as pack animals on Central Asian trade routes and now used for rides in the high deserts. Enjoy a camel ride at Hunder on a direct payment basis. In the evening, return to your camp or hotel in Nubra for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8 Nubra - Excursion to Turtuk – Nubra.

One of the most captivating journeys in Ladakh, this less popular and recently opened destination offers stunning locations for those with a thirst for exploration. En route, witness spectacular mountain ranges and charming villages. This region is predominantly controlled by the Ladakh Scouts, a unique unit of the Indian Army, and includes a border village recaptured by the Indian Army in 1971. Locals, who have relatives across the Line of Control, primarily rely on farming vegetables and apricots, as well as providing mules and porters. In Baltistan, a beautiful village with friendly people, the night of December 13, 1971, was historic: "On that night, the villagers went to sleep in Pakistan and woke up in India the next morning." In Turtuk, listen to villagers recount the history of this remote northwest corner of Ladakh, which was part of Baltistan in PoK until that fateful night. After a full-day rough excursion, return to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay in a camp or hotel.

Day 9 Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shayok (165 Kms/05 – 06 hrs)

After breakfast at the camp or hotel, we will drive to our next destination, Pangong Lake, situated at 14,500 feet above sea level. The journey takes us via Shayok, Tang Tse, and Spangmik (Pangong). This scenic route follows the Shayok River, climbing up a mountain before descending into Shayok village. The drive to Shayok takes less than an hour, and you'll be delighted by the picturesque sight of this relatively large village surrounded by barren mountains. In the afternoon, we arrive at Pangong Lake. Spend the day enjoying the stunning lake views. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 10 Pangong to Leh via Changla Pass - 5486 Mtrs. (160 Kms/05 – 06 Hrs)

Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise at Pangong Lake. After enjoying breakfast, drive back to Leh via Changla Pass, which stands at 5,486 meters. Upon arrival in Leh, check in at the hotel. The evening is free for shopping or leisure. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11 Depart from Leh

Transfer to Leh airport to board your flight for the onward journey, carrying beautiful memories with you.
