Day 1 Arrive Bagdogra/New Jalpaigiuri - Darjeeling

Your journey to Darjeeling begins with a scenic transfer from Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station. Darjeeling, located at an altitude of 2134 meters in the Himalayas, is aptly named 'Dorje Ling', meaning the place of the Thunderbolt in Tibetan. This enchanting hill station offers mesmerizing views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the majestic Kanchendzonga towering above all others. Often referred to as the "Queen of the Hills," Darjeeling retains its allure with its picturesque waterfalls, quaint villages, and the iconic narrow gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway track, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Day 2 Darjeeling

Today, early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and the Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise, and then the entire Himalayan range turns golden. It is truly a majestic sight. On the way back from Tiger Hill, visit Ghoom Monastery, which is the oldest monastery in the area, built in 1875. One can see the 15ft. high image of Mythey Buddha. After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate (from outside), Japanese Temple, and Peace Pagoda. Day 3 Darjeeling - Pelling

Proceed to Pelling this morning after breakfast. Located at a distance of 120 kms from Gangtok, Pelling is another serene mountain village situated in the western districts of Sikkim. This village is situated at an altitude of approximately 2000 mts and commands a spectacular view of Mt. Kanchenjunga.  

Day 4 Pelling

Today enjoy full day city tour visiting Khechipalri Lake, Rimbi Falls, Kanchenjungs Falls, Orange Garden, Pemayangste Monastery and Rabtense Ruins. Overnight at the hotel in Pelling.

Day 5 Pelling - Gangtok

Proceed to Gangtok this morning after breakfast. At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid-19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travellers delight. Later, proceed for half day sightseeing in Gangtok visiting Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), Cottage Industry (closed on Sunday), and Bakthang Falls. Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 6 Gangtok - Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

Today Proceed to full day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows of the surrounding mountains Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters. Also visit Baba Mandir. You may also opt for Nathula Pass at additional Cost. Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 7 Depart Gangtok - Bagdogra/New jalpaiguri

This morning you will be transferred to Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri railway station to board your fight/train back home or to your next destination.
