Day 1

Arrive Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri - Gangtok

On arrival at Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri railway station you will be transferred to Gangtok. At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid 19 th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travellers delight. Later check into the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 2

Gangtok - Excursin to Changu Lake & Baba Mandir

Today proceed to full day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 Kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows of the surrounding mountains Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters. Also visit Baba Mandir. You may also opt for Nathula Pass at additional Cost .Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 3

Gangtok - Lachung

This morning after breakfast drive to Lachung. Enroute visiting villages and water falls. On arrival check in the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Lachung.

Day 4

Lachung - Yumthang - Lachung

Today enjoy excursion to Yumthang Valley & back. - The valley of fowers. Flora, Fauna, Rhododendrons and Primulas and found in abundance. Yumthang is the summer grazing grounds of the Yaks. On the way back visit the Sulphur Hot Spring, considered to have medicinal properties. Overnight at the hotel in Lachung.

Day 5

Lachung - Gangtok

Today proceed to Gangtok . On arrival at Gangtok check into the hotel. The rest of the evening is free for your own activities. Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.

Day 6

Gangtok - pelling

Today after breakfast proceed for sightseeing in Gangtok visiting Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology(closed on Sunday), Cottage Industry(closed on Sunday) and Bakthang Falls. Afternoon drive from Gangtok to Pelling. Located at a distance of 120 kms from Gangtok ,Pelling is another serene, mountain village which lies in the western districts of Sikkim. This village is situated at an altitude of 2000 mts(approx) and commands a spectacular view of Mt.Kanchenjunga. On arrival in Pelling, check into the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Pelling.

Day 7

Pelling

Today enjoy a full day city tour visiting Khechipalri Lake, Rimbi Falls, Kanchenjungs Falls, Orange Garden, Pemayangste Monastery and Rabtense Ruins. Overnight at the hotel in Pelling.

Day 8

Pelling - Darjeeling

Today drive to Darjeeling.Standing high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2134m, ‘Dorje Ling’,or place of the Thunderbolt, ofers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising higher than all the others. Often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills”, it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow gauge railway track. Surrounded by World Famous Tea Gardens and snow capped mountains, Darjeeling remains one of the most exotic destinations. Graeme Westlake in his book ‘An introduction to hill stations on India’ refers to Darjeeling as having “A view Scarcely Unrivalled on Earth”. On arrival in Darjeeling check into the hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 9

Darjeeling

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a city tour starting with a visit to Tiger Hill for a stunning sunrise view over the Himalayan Range including Kanchandzonga and Mount Everest. Witness the horizon transforming with a spectrum of colors before the entire range glistens golden. On the way back, explore Ghoom Monastery, the oldest in the area established in 1875, featuring a 15ft. tall statue of Mythey Buddha. Next, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), founded by Tenzing Norgay after his Mt. Everest conquest. Explore the Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, and admire the Tea Estate from outside. Also, visit the Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda. Enjoy the evening at leisure for shopping or relaxation. Overnight stay at your hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 10

Depart Daarjeeling - Bagdogra/ New Jalpaiguri

This morning you will be transferred to Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri railway station to board your fight/train back home or to your next destination.
