Valley of Flowers:

  • Location: Situated in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India, the Valley of Flowers National Park is part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve.
  • Altitude: Around 3,600 meters (11,800 feet) above sea level.
  • Features: Known for its breathtaking meadows of alpine flowers that bloom from July to September. The valley is covered with a colorful blanket of various wildflowers, including orchids, poppies, and marigolds.
  • Trek Details: The trek to the Valley of Flowers is about 10 km from Ghangaria and is a relatively easy, flat walk along the Pushpavati River.
  • Flora & Fauna: The valley is home to diverse flora and fauna. In addition to flowers, you may spot butterflies, birds, and rare animals like the Himalayan brown bear.
  • Experience: The valley offers stunning views and a serene environment, ideal for nature lovers and trekkers.

Hemkund Sahib:

  • Location: Located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India, near the Valley of Flowers.
  • Altitude: 4,329 meters (14,200 feet) above sea level.
  • Features: Hemkund Sahib is a revered Sikh pilgrimage site and is known as the world’s highest Gurudwara. It is set against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks and encircled by seven majestic mountains.
  • Lake: The Hemkund Lake, situated next to the Gurudwara, remains frozen for about six months of the year. It is known for its pristine, clear waters.
  • Trek Details: The trek to Hemkund Sahib is about 6 km from Ghangaria and involves a steep climb. The trail can be challenging but rewards you with spectacular views.
  • Historical Significance: According to Sikh tradition, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru of Sikhism, meditated here in a previous life. The Gurudwara and its surroundings hold great spiritual significance.
  • Experience: Visitors can enjoy the serene ambiance, admire the beautiful lake, and experience the spiritual atmosphere of the Gurudwara.

Day 1 Dehradun/Haridwar to Joshimath

Arrive at Dehradun/Haridwar & Drive to to Joshimath. On arrival check in to hotel. Rest of the day free to explore the town. Over Night stay at hotel.

Day 2 Joshimath/Govindghat – Pulna – Ghangaria

After an Early Breakfast:

  • Depart for Pulna by car via Govindghat village.

Trek to Ghangaria:

  • Embark on a 10 km trek along the river, which takes approximately 6 hours.
  • Ghangaria is a one-street village with food joints and a Gurudwara.

Evening:

  • Free time to explore the scenic surroundings.

Overnight Stay:

  • Check into your hotel in Ghangaria.

Day 3 Ghangaria - Valley of flowers - Ghangaria (3600M) – GHANGARIA

After an Early Breakfast:

  • Begin your trek to the Valley of Flowers.

Trek Details:

  • Enjoy an easy, flat walk covering approximately 10 km in the valley.
  • Experience a trek involving an ascent of 3000 meters and a descent of 3500 meters.

In the Valley:

  • Spend time surrounded by colorful flowers, soak your feet in the stream, and relish the serene atmosphere.

Evening:

  • Since camping in the valley is not allowed, trek back to Ghangaria.

Overnight Stay:

  • Return to your hotel in Ghangaria.

Day 4 Ghangaria – Hemkund Saheb

Early Morning:

  • Start your trek to Hemkund Sahib, covering a distance of 6 km.

Hemkund Sahib:

  • Visit one of the most revered Sikh shrines and the world’s highest Gurudwara, situated at an altitude of 4,329 meters.
  • Explore the frozen Hemkund Sahib Lake, which remains ice-covered for six months. Walk around to the other side if conditions permit.
  • Admire the Lakshman Temple located on the lake's bank.
  • Enjoy the breathtaking views of the lake surrounded by seven snow-clad peaks and glaciers. The lake’s crystal-clear waters reflect its majestic surroundings.
  • For history enthusiasts, according to religious texts, Guru Govind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhism, meditated by this lake in a previous incarnation.

Afternoon:

  • Trek back to Ghangaria.

Evening:

  • Leisure time in Ghangaria.

Overnight Stay:

  • Return to your hotel for the night.

Day 5 Ghangaria – Govindghat – Joshimath

Early Morning (by 6 am):

  • Begin your trek back from Ghangaria to Govindghat.

Trek Details:

  • Enjoy an easy 10 km walk, which should take approximately 5 hours.

Arrival and Travel:

  • Reach Govindghat around 11 am.
  • From Govindghat, start your journey by car to Joshimath.

Evening:

  • Leisure time in Joshimath.

Overnight Stay:

  • Check into your hotel in Joshimath.

Day 6 Joshimath - Rishikesh - Haridwar/Dehradun

After Breakfast:

  • Drive downhill to Rishikesh, the spiritual city and Yoga capital of the world.
  • On arrival, explore the sights of Rishikesh, including Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula.
  • In the evening, transfer to the Railway Station/Airport.

End of the Tour.
