Pondicherry, now known as Puducherry, is a Union Territory located on the southeastern coast of India. It was a French colony until 1954, and its colonial past is reflected in its architecture, cuisine, and overall ambiance.
Arrive at designated place. Proceed to Puducherry by coach. Stroll around the Promenade Beachfront in the evening.
In the morning, proceed to Chidambaram to visit the Nataraja Temple, dedicated to Lord Nataraja, a form of Lord Shiva as the Lord of Dance. Following your temple visit, explore the Pichavaram Mangrove Forest by boat. This forest is the second largest mangrove forest in the world and is known for its health and ecological significance. Extra Topping: Enjoy tea or coffee in Chidambaram.
Proceed to Mahabalipuram, renowned for its temples and beach. Visit the Shore Temple, Panch Rathas, Varaha Caves, Arjuna’s Penance, and Krishna’s Butter Ball. After exploring these ancient sites, head to Kanchipuram, famous for its world-renowned silk sarees and traditional craftsmanship. At Kanchipuram, visit the Vishnukanchi Temple and enjoy some free time for shopping. Extra Topping: Enjoy a soft drink in Mahabalipuram and tea, coffee, or soft drinks en route to Kanchipuram.
Proceed to Chennai by coach. Board the flight for your hometown. Tour concludes.
